The course is free because it’s funded by the government to help people start a career in the gaming industry.

As part the Skills Bootcamp will help you find and apply for jobs in gaming.

This is a fully online course with no final exam or test. You’ll be assessed during the course from the portfolio of work completed as part of the course.

You’ll gain games sector-specific skills that will help fast-track you to an interview in the gaming industry.

Eligibility Criteria

Our Skills Bootcamps in Gaming Design are available to all eligible adults, within the communities they serve, including those employed, not in work or self-employed.

  • Be Aged 19+
  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Meet Residency Requirements (We'll Help You Check This)
  • Live in England

How much does the Skills Bootcamp cost?

Our Skills Bootcamps in Gaming Design are provided at no cost for learners who meet the eligibility criteria.

Employers who wish to upskill existing employees through our Skills Bootcamps will receive a 70% or 90% discount (depending on the size of your company) from the standard cost of our Skills Bootcamp in Gaming Design.

Technical Requirements

Due to the nature of this Gaming Design course you’ll need a laptop or desktop with the following minimum requirements;

  • Windows 10 64-bit (Version 20H2)
  • 32 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or higher
  • I7 processor or higher (We'll Help You Check This)

Online Learning with a course timetable that works for you..

Our 12 week Skills Bootcamp in Gaming Design is an intense  course. Our live lessons are held every weekday 9:30 am and 12:30 pm. You’ll need to attend an average of 4 live sessions per week.

Our Skills Bootcamps in Gaming Design are 12 weeks long. You can study during normal business hours or during the evenings and over the weekend.

You’ll attend live lessons, complete our interactive online learning and get 1-2-1 sessions with your gaming design trainer to support.

It’s free! Our Skills Bootcamp in Gaming Design is completely free to those eligible for funding. It’s funded by the Department for Education (DfE).

Yes, you’re entitled to complete the course for free if you’re looking to enhance your career prospects.

If you have been referred by your employer, your employer would need to contribute to the cost of the course (paid upfront) so be sure to clear it with your employer before you apply.

Yes, we offer several options for the course schedule and much of the interactive eLearning is self-directed and can be done in your own time.
